The heavily favored New York Yankees are starting a four-game home stand against the Oakland Athletics on Monday. The A’s are coming off being swept by the Guardians and losing a series to the Cardinals before that, in an absolutely turgid 8-14 start to the season.

The Yankees are riding high at the top of the AL East with a blistering 15-7 start and have had hot bats lately. They lost their first series of the year against Toronto last week, but bounced back, winning two of three over Tampa Bay.

The Yankees are as hot as any team in baseball, and while their loss to Toronto shows that anyone can win on any given day, the pinstripes are used to stepping up in the big occasions.
