FA Cup Fifth Round Draw: How to watch on TV and stream online
Holders Manchester City, who eliminated Spurs on Friday, and giant killers Maidstone United will be among the 16 teams going into the hat for Sunday’s draw.
It’s FA Cup weekend in England - the cup competition, the oldest soccer competition in existence, enters with Fourth Round stage with five ties already completed. Holders Manchester City have already booked their place in the next round after beating Tottenham on Friday - Nathan Aké’s late winner seeing Pep Guardiola’s team through. Joining them are Bournemouth who put five past Swansea and will be hoping to extend their campaign and hopefully improve on their best run - they made it as far as the quarter finals in 2021.
The other three ties played before Saturday’s fixtures all ended level - replays await Sheffield Wednesday vs Coventry City (1-1), Chelsea vs Aston Villa (0-0) and Bristol City vs Nottingham Forest (0-0) whenever the FA can find a suitable slot in the calendar. Not ideal for those who already have a schedule that is crammed tight - especially Chelsea, who face Liverpool twice in four weeks (including the final of the other cup competition, the EFL Carabao Cup) and Man City in what will be a key month for Pochettino’s men.
Maidstone United’s epic Cup run continues - the Stones edged past Ipswich On Saturday to book their place in the Fifth Round - the furthest they have ever been in the tournament.
The Fourth Round reaches its conclusion on Monday night when Blackburn Rovers play host to Wrexham.
The Fifth Round ties will be played during the week starting Monday 26 February 2024. The quarter finals will take place on the weekend of 16 March.
