Constantin Gâlcă has been forced to juggle his squad ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Real Madrid. The Espanyol coach has drafted in five players - Arlauskis, Óscar Duarte, Víctor Sánchez, Cañas and Hernán Pérez – the two new signings, goalkeeper GiedriusArlauskis and Costa Rican centre-back Óscar Duarte could make their debuts at the Bernabéu.

Sunday’s match. "We have to confront the game with excitement even though we have many of our regular players missing. We have to go there believing we can take something positive from the game. We need to be loose out on the pitch and play our own game. We’ve prepared well for this and we hope to do the best we possibly can".

Recent arrivals. "There’s a chance they’ll play. I’m very happy with both of them, even if they have only been at the club a few days; I’ll decide tomorrow. Óscar Duarte is good at conducting the ball out of defence – he’s a player with personality and experience which is exactly what we need. ‘Arla’ manages his defence well, he has character and is very good using his feet".

Starting XI. "We’re still thinking about it. I’m pretty clear about most of the team but there are a couple of positions which I haven’t decided on yet. We have to take everything into account – playing well and coming away with a result because that would breed confidence. Every aspect of the game is important".

Late transfers. "I’m not going to start talking about the players who are not with us – if they do arrive, they will be welcomed. We’re going to try to do the best we can with the players we’ve got".

You scored at the Bernabéu. "I do remember that goal. But the most important thing is what the players do tomorrow; we need to put in a good performance".

Changes at Madrid under Zidane. "They’re much looser now; you don’t need me to point that out. They’ve scored a lot of goals in their recent matches at home, but they did under Benítez too".

Zidane’ style. "His experience as a player will help him and he’ll be keen to do everything well".

Espanyol squad: Arlauskis, Rubén Duarte, Víctor Sánchez, Enzo Roco, Salva Sevilla, Abraham, Montañés, Pape Diop, Pau López, Cañas, Ciani, Javi López, Hernán Pérez, Fuentes, Jordán, Alvaro, Oscar Duarte and Mamadou.
