Lucas Vázquez is doubtful for Real Madrid's final league game of the season against Deportivo at Riazor on Saturday, when Zidane's team will be playing to wrest the league title from Barcelona. The midfielder suffered a light sprain to his left knee in yesterday's game against Valencia - tests conducted this morning revealed. Lucas, who hopes to have receovered in time to make Saturday's match (he hails from Curtis, A Coruña), was forced to quit the Valencia game on 75 minutes after being on the end of a fierce challenge by Enzo Pérez which affected the joints inside his knee; Jesé came on to replace him.

Despite Lucas' desire to play against Deportivo de la Coruña, Zidane insists the player will not be risked ahead of the Champions League final on 28 May. The coach wants all of his players at full strength for the final against Atlético and Lucas will have to wait until Friday, the eve of Madrid's trip to Riazor, to see if he features in the squad list.
