Ronaldo soothes injury worries
After soothing any worries over his fitness, Ronaldo talked about the mindset of the team in the run up to Saturday’s Champions League final against Atlético Madrid. “I’m relaxed. We’re training well, and we’ll certainly be prepared. We’re in a good moment after finishing the league in great form. A win on Saturday would make our season.”

The 31 year old also spoke of how Los Blancos vast experience in cup finals will serve the team well in Milan. “Our experience is very important. Maybe we have an advantage in that respect, but that doesn’t mean everything. We’re expecting a completely unique type of match. Atletico are going to want to win, but be we can’t allow them to. We’re going to be better than them, more intense, and I’m confident we’ll come out on top.”
Champions League goal record
The former Manchester United forward is just one away from equalling his own 17 goal record in a single Champions League campaign. “It would be amazing to equal or surpass it, but records happen naturally, I’m not obsessed by them. The most important thing is to win.”
In a final call to arms to the Merengue faithful before the all Madrid showdown this weekend, Ronaldo said, “I’m sure they’ll be with us on Saturday, supporting us like they always do to make it another magical night.”
