RM Castilla start pre-season on 19th with doubts over Odegaard
Real Madrid "B" hope to secure two signings in the next week with Paraguayan striker Sergio Diaz as the player to watch next season.
Real Madrid Castilla 2016-17 report back for training a week today as new coach Santiago Solari starts to put together his squad ahead of the new campaign. Paraguayan striker Sergio Diaz has already been secured on a five year deal moving from Cerro Porteño and Castilla sporting director's are looking at making two more acquisitions in the week ahead.
Luca Zidane is set to form part of the Castilla 2016/17 setup and other youth players set to make the step up to 2B are Achraf, Mario Rodríguez, Óscar and Fidalgo.
Solari will have no Mayoral or Mariano in the push to secure a place in Liga2 as the summer is destined to feature plenty of activity with signings and departures at Valdebebas.
Earlier today Fran Rodriguez was presented as a new Real Zaragoza player after leaving Castilla and it appears that Lucas Torró is destined to join Fernando Hierro as part of his Real Oviedo project.
The one question mark hanging over the squad is what happens with Norwegian teenager Martin Odegaard. The international is scheduled to join up with the first team as part of pre-season but Real Madrid club officials are aware that it is unlikely that the player will spend another season playing in the third tier of Spanish football with a move to the Bundesliga looking like a possibility.
