Dante criticises Pep Guardiola: "He doesn't speak to you"
The former Bayern Munich defender told Sport Bild that while Pep Guardiola is tactically world class, on a human level he's "not so good"
Brazilian central defender Boafim Dante has criticised his ex-coach at Bayern Munich, Pep Guardiola, telling German paper Sport Bild that the Catalan isn’t straight forward with his players.
“He doesn’t speak with you”
“He doesn’t speak with you,” said Dante of the now Manchester City manager. “As a player you don’t know what situation you’re in. There are coaches that from a tactical point of view are world class but on a human level they’re not so good. That is the case with Guardiola.”
Dante, who formed part of Jupp Heynckes' treble-winning side at Bayern in 2014, revealed that his most emotional moment at the club was not winning the Champions League, but signing for the German champions.
Transferred to Wolfburg
After being such a key player under Heynckes, Dante never found a role under Guardiola, despite Pep once saying that he’d like to have “a thousand Dantes” in his side, and was eventually transferred to Wolfsburg.
The Brazilian's critical comments come just weeks after Franck Ribery was also less than complimentary about Guardiola's time at Munich.
