"In no time, we've adapted well to the new coach" - David Silva
The midfielder scored both of Spain's goals in Julen Lopetegui's first game in charge to become the national team's joint sixth top scorer, with Emilio Butragueño.
David Silva spoke to Telecinco's pitchside cameras after Thursday's friendly with Belgium. Apart from the 2-0 victory in which he contributed both goals, the Manchester City player has extra reason to feel happy - he is now level with Emilio Butragueño as the joint sixth top scorer of all-time in the history of Spain's national team.
Satisfaction: "To be honest, apart from result, we played some really nice football tonight".
Intensity: "It was quite an intense match - we had hold of the ball for most of it and we had our chances on goal, and that's what matters".
New coach, very little time together: "We've hardly had any time at all with the new coach and there are some new faces in the squad, but despite all that, I think we have adapted really well and now we have to keep improving".
