Raiola blasts "piece of shit" Klopp over Balotelli treatment
Mino Raiola, the agent of Mario Balotelli, has said that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is "not a good coach" owing to the way he treated his client
The agent of Mario Balotelli, Mino Raiola, has launched scathing criticism at Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp for his treatment of the Italian striker.
Balotelli was transferred by Liverpool to Nice on Tuesday, with the 26-year old signing a one-year deal at the French club after Klopp had made it clear he didn’t form part of his plans.
Balotelli trained with reserves
Raiola, whose clients also include Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, made his feelings clear about the way Klopp handled situation, allegedly forcing Balotelli to train with the reserves during preseason.
"In the end, the higher-ups at Liverpool admitted that Klopp was wrong," Raiola told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Klopp's not a good coach"
"I'm not trying to judge him as a coach -- although, for me, he's not a good coach -- but he didn't understand that Balotelli is, whatever else, a person.
"Mario has been exemplary. He never complained about training alone. To say that it was wrong of Klopp would be an understatement, he was a piece of shit about it."
