Cristiano appeases worries with social media message to fans
The Portuguese striker will miss the away game at the RCDE Stadium against Espanyol and was anxious to allay worries with a message in Instagram.
Cristiano Ronaldo sent a message to his fans this morning after worries about his current state of fitness having being ruled out of tonight's Espanyol- Real Madrid clash at the RCDE Stadium in Barcelona (kick off 20:45 CET).
"Feeling better" was the succinct message posted by the player from Madeira on his Instagram account accompanied by a picture of the striker working in the gym.
Cristiano was ruled out of the Espanyol game as a result of a bout of flu and this news was delivered by Real Madrid first team coach Zidane in his pre-match press conference. This will be the fourth game that Cristiano misses for Madrid this season following his late incorporation due to the knee injury recovery period after the Euro 2016 final.
