Even if it’s Bernardo Silva’s last trophy with Manchester City, he is still going down in the history books of the club. There is still one more title on the line, but Saturday’s FA Cup win could be the swan song of one the winningest players in club history.

Seventh Premier League still in play

Silva still has the Premier League in reach, but City will need to win out and get a little help in the final two rounds of the season. If Arsenal take care of business and close out the league campaign, then the FA Cup final against Chelsea will be his final title at the club he has called home for the last nine years.

“It’s special. I am really happy. Everything about my journey here at Man City was fantastic. Hopefully we can still have a small dream that we can fight for the Premier League,” said Silva. After City’s draw at Everton, the league title is out of their hands, but there is still a chance for a record seventh Premier League title for Silva.

There are six different players who have won six Premier League titles with City. Silva, John Stones and Phil Foden all have a chance to set themselves apart from the pack if they were to pull off a miracle in the final two rounds of the season. If not, all three will end the season with 20 trophies won in their City career.

All eyes on Arsenal

A few months ago Silva stated his intentions to leave Manchester after having won everything a player can with at the club level. While the season isn’t done, this could very well be his final trophy that he wins as a Citizen. ”Today we are very happy. It is just special for me, being my last season to give them another trophy. Hopefully, not the last one.”

After securing the double, with a Carabao Cup and an FA Cup already in the bag this season, City will set their sights on the Premier League. They are currently two points back of Arsenal with two matches remaining the league campaign. Silva and City have matches at Bournemouth and against Aston Villa to close out the season. They will have to win those and hope either Burnley or Crystal Palace can take points from Arsenal over the next week and a half.

Before looking forward to the final two games of the league campaign, Silva took time to analyze his time at City, and the two halves from Wembley on Saturday afternoon. “Since I arrived it has been 20 [trophies], so it is not bad. That was a fantastic goal. In a final there are no favourites. The beginning of the second half, they started really strong. They were putting us under constant pressure and it wasn’t easy.”
