Gareth Bale impact growing stronger for Real Madrid
It was a difficult game in the sense that there was a lack of tension and it needed a moment to rid themselves of any doubts. The man to provide these tasty morsels this season is Bale, what a punch he adds. Each time he is doing it more often. Of his four goals this season, three of them have been the opening goal for Madrid in the game (he added a second against Real Sociedad). Yesterday, Madrid hadn't had a shot on goal and then Bale arrived with his solo run and shot to the far post that gave him his first goal in the Champions League...in almost two seasons!
In the first half Bale played his part from the right side and helped in the third goal with a pass that broke through the pressing defensive lines. Later, as with the others, he took a siesta. In the second period he was seen more in a central role, linking the play. Around the hour mark, he was replaced. In total: Bale returned to give us a glimpse of what he can offer and still he can grow.
