Barcelona - Real Madrid Live

The man who makes Barcelona tick, Andres Iniesta, is set to return to the starting line-up for El Clásico on Saturday as he has slowly but surely stepped up his recovery over recent days and weeks.

Andres Iniesta has been out with knee ligament damage sustained in a crunching tackle in the first half of Barcelona's fiery clash with Valencia at the Mestalla and was initially expected to miss 14 games including El Clásico and Granada and Espanyol after that.

Ready for the Copa del Rey

Reports emerged today that suggests he was ready and waiting for the call from Luis Enrique to play against Hercules in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday but club officials have been informed he is suspended since last year's final against Sevilla. This news could also ensure he is able to play a significant part in Barcelona's attempt to beat Real Madrid on Saturday.

Luis Enrique's side were left reeling after a 1-1 draw, in which they were lucky to get a point from, with Real Sociedad. That result left a worried feeling in the camp and the first step to redemption in La Liga starts on Saturday with the biggest test of all - against Real Madrid.

Encouraging soocial media updates

He has been posting updates to his social media informing everyone of the hard work he was doing in preparation for his return.

His most recent post shows he is back in full training, which will also surely delight Barcelona fans.
