Hércules 1-1 Barcelona: Full-time summary
Barcelona went behind through a Mainz goal that was bundled in at the back post in the second half after 52 minutes but they drew level just six minutes later through an excellent Carles Aleña strike from long range. This is the worst result and performance Luis Enrique could have hoped for coming into El Clásico and he will have a difficult job of firing up some of the players on the pitch tonight to player Real Madrid on Saturday. The return of many of their best players will help but the likes of Samuel Umtiti, Arda Turan, Andre Gomes and Lucas Digne will expect to play a part in that game and if you can consider that auditioning for their respective parts, none of them will be getting a call back. All credit to Hércules, who only picked up one yellow card right at the end and wanted to play football and were organised throughout, causing the La Liga giants to run out of ideas.
In the other games
Atletico Madrid's Correa, Carrasco and company carved up Guijuelo with six goals including two from the Belgian Carrasco, one from Correa, a penalty from Saul, a finisher from debutant Roberto and Vrsaljko's first in an Atletico shirt.
Celta defeated UCAM Murcia with a lone Sergi Gomez strike in the first half, Granada lead Osasuna going into the second leg thanks to on-loan Arsenal player Miguel Toraland Malaga trail Segunda division side Cordoba by two goals, which came via Rodri and Borja Dominguez.
Four minutes of injury time are almost up as Hércules take a goal-kick.
Min 90 | Arda Turan with as bad a cross as you will see. With his side pushing for a winner, he lofts a cross into the hands of Buigues like he was warming him up before the game.
Min 88 | A little bit of confusion as Ingles lies on the field with cramp and Arda doesn't know whether to kick it out or continue. It is eventually kicked out and Ingles is, suprisingly, back up and okay!
Min 86 | Cardona with a foul on a Hércules defender as they get another respite and Barcelona rue another missed chance.
Min 82 | Cillessen comes out and tries to claim a cross but he messes it up and it goes out for a corner.
Min 78 | Cardona almst gives Barcelona the lead but his shot is saved by Buigues.
Last sub for Enrique as Aleña comes off for Cardona.
Min 76 | Arda pulled down by Omgba. Free now for Barcelona with Suarez lurking again. Too far out for a shot as he lofts one towards Gomes who hits Buigues in the chest with the header.
Min 74 | Rafinha makes a run down the line but it is cleared by a defender and out for a corner. Barca still failing to make inroads.
A couple of changes for Hércules now too. Miñano Chechu coming on!
Luis Enrique brings on Andre Gomes and Nili for Carbonell and Umtiti.
Min 63 | Barcelona continue to press and probe but no massive chances since the goal, and even then, I wouldn't consider it a chance. Just excellence from Aleña.
Min 58 | GOAL! Aleña with a screamer to draw things level. Keeper might feel like he could have done better but it was coming at pace and an unlikely place to take a shot from.
Min 55 | Mainz and Umtiti have collided and both lay on the field receiving treatment.
Min 52 | GOAL! Mainz nudges the ball home at the back past and Hércules go 1-0 up! We promised you it would get exciting.
Min 49 | Gaspar swings it around the wall but Cillessen gets down well to save.
Min 48 | Gaspar taken down inside the area (or so it looked) but the referee gives a free from the very edge of the area. Carbonell the guilty party.
Min 46 | The second half is underway at Estadio José Rico Pérez.
FT Scores:
HT: Hércules 0-0 Barcelona. That was a snoozefest. Stay tuned though, okay? It should get interesting!
Elsewhere, Rober continues the carving up of Guijuelo as he makes it 6-0 to Atletico.
Min 43 | Hércules with a couple of half chances but the closest they come is a header from Rojas that goes well wide.
Min 41 | Rafinho swings in a cross with nobody on the end of it.
Luis Enrique has a chat to Juan Carlos Unzué in the dugout and neither of them look happy.
Min 36 | Aleña gets a very soft free for a slight arm-pull. Barcelona in a dangerous position with Denis Suarez lurking over it.
Min 32 | Hércules continue to grow in confidence. Gaspar with another feeble attempt though.
Min 32 | Omgba launches a shot towards Cillessen but it's neither long enough or on target.
Elsewhere, Segunda side Cordoba take the lead against Malaga. 1-0 through Rodri.
Min 29 | Alcacer pokes a ball goalwards but there is a Hércules defender waiting on the line. Close call that time.
Min 28 | Hércules break but a feeble effort from Gaspar is all they can come up with. He should have done better there.
Min 27 | Hércules a little under the cosh now but still nothing concrete by Barcelona.
Min 26 | Alcacr with a touch inside the box but he is blocked and it goes out for a corner.
Min 24 | Arda, who didn't even bother looking up to see movement ahead of him, tries a shot from distance.
Min 23 | Denis Suarez eyeing up a free-kick that he chips in but Hércules clear again and try to break again.
Min 21 | Aleña with a sloppy pass and Hércules win possession back again.
Min 18 | Rafinha manages to get in behind but he plays it back to Aleña and the pass is short. Hércules clear again.
Min 17 | Barcelona starting to dominate possession but lacking that cutting edge up front. Hércules, to their credit, look a very organised side.
Elsewhere, Angel Correa puts Atletico up 5-0.
Min 14 | Turan tries to chest it down to Digne but it is out for a Hércules throw.
Elsewhere, Carrasco has scored again as Atletico go 4-0 up.
Elsewhere, Granada go 1-0 up through Toral. They can't get a win in the league but is the Copa del Rey where they can excel?
Min 9 | Free-kick to Barcelona on the edge of the square. Alcacer tries his luck from an awkward angle but it is beaten away by Buigues.
Elsewhere, Carrasco gives Atletico a 3-0 lead against Guijuelo.
Min 7 | Barcelona still haven't settled into this game. Hércules will be very happy with the open eight minutes.
Min 3 | Digne down gripping his ankle but he is back up and carries on.
Min 1 | We are underway between Hércules and Barcelona.
A minute's silence for the Chapecoense plane crash at Estadio José Rico Pérez.

17:39 | Some transfer gossip hot off the press. Barcelona eyeing Srna in January as their permanent right-back.

15:00 | Former Atleti player Perea reflects on Cleber Santana who died in the Colombia air tragedy.
11:30 | Luis Enrique took time to reflect on the Chapecoense tragedy in yesterday's press conference.

Hércules - Barcelona: 22:00 CET ko
It feels like eons since Nelson Váldez was busy ruining Javier Mascherano's Barça debut with a match-winning LaLiga double for newly-promoted Hércules. Six years on from that shock 2-0 triumph at the Camp Nou, the Alicante outfit are back down in Segunda División B, battling to find their way out of Spain's labyrinthine regionalised third tier.
Like their prestigious visitors, they come into Wednesday's last-32 first leg feeling distinctly sorry for themselves after a negative weekend result, having suffered a second straight league defeat at Alcoyano - not helped by the 'bare-faced cheek' of this opposition fan.
Barcelona, who have the small matter of El Clásico up next, will look to get back to winning ways following two consecutive LaLiga draws - the most recent of which saw them somehow escape Anoeta with a point after being utterly battered by Real Sociedad, but by no means escape criticism.
Real Madrid - Cultural: 19:00 CET ko
Having played their first leg back in October because of their upcoming participation in the FIFA Club World Cup, Real Madrid host Cultural in the return, with a 7-1 lead and more than just the one eye on this weekend's assignment in Catalonia. A more in-depth look ahead to this match is here.
Guijuelo - Atlético Madrid: 21:00 CET ko
Fresh from getting themselves nicely back on track with a comprehensive league victory at Osasuna, 2013 Copa winners Atlético Madrid travel to face Salamanca-based Segunda B team Guijuelo.
As his side prepared to open up their bid for an 11th cup success, boss Diego Simeone - who takes a 16-man squad missing a number of regulars - said: "[We approach the Copa] with a lot of excitement. Historically, this is an attractive and much-loved competition for our club."
Los Rojiblancos head into the game in mourning after the tragic loss of former player Cléber Santana, who was among those who died in the Chapecoense air crash in Colombia.
Formentera - Sevilla / Toledo - Villarreal (both 19:00 CET ko)
On the back of a weekend LaLiga win over Valencia, Jorge Sampaoli's high-flying Sevilla take on Tercera División club SD Formentera (19:00) looking to go one better than their runners-up finish in last year's Copa.
Meanwhile, Villarreal's early-season unbeaten run has come to a shuddering halt during a month of November that has (in all competitions) yielded three defeats, one draw and a solitary victory. A game in the picturesque surroundings of Toledo against a side walloped 6-0 on Saturday offers - on paper, at least - the chance for Fran Escribá's charges to get back on course.
This trio of 21:00 kick-offs involves four Primera teams, none of which have ever managed to get their hands on the Copa del Rey. Juande Ramos' Málaga make their way to the Estadio Nuevo Arcángel for an Andalusian derby against Segunda side Córdoba, while three-time runners-up Celta Vigo (quarter-finalists last year) are also in action in southern Spain, against second division UCAM Murcia.
As for Granada - Osasuna, their combined haul of one league win all season doesn't exactly augur well for a festival of football...
