Once again Sergio Ramos was on hand to strike for Real Madrid late on (as he did at Camp Nou securing a 1-1 draw in El Clasico) securing maximum points for the league leaders at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday night.

With the clock ticking down in added time, Madrid won a corner which was taken by German midfielder Toni Kroos. Before the Deportivo rear-guard could organise their positioning, Ramos ordered James to move towards the near post and pull his marker with him.

The defender from Camas then ordered Lucas Vazquez to block the path of the ball in order from him to enable a free lift-off to meet the perfectly delivered corner from Kroos.

Ramos managed to leap 2,40m off the ground out-jumping Depor defenders Albentosa and Borges in the process to nod home the corner and ensure a dramatic turnaround for Zidane's side who had previously trailed 1-2 and appeared to be in danger of losing their unbeaten run.
