Up for the Copa
Real Madrid return to domestic competition after their travels to Japan where they won the Club World Cup to face Sevilla in the Copa del Rey. And a full house is expected to welcome them home to the Santiago Bernabéu.
The game starts at 21:15 local time on Wednesday 4 January and comes just 24 hours before many families get together on the eve of Los Reyes Magos, a festive celebration in Spain and other parts of the world that rivals Christmas. With the match at such a busy, and often expensive, time of year, the Madrid club have lowered ticket prices to encourage attendance...and it seems to have paid off.
Madrid looking for a full house
With seat prices as low as 15 euros, rising to 60 euros unless you're looking for exclusive VIP treatment, reports from the club state that there are less than 100 seats left dotted around the stadium and these are likely to be snapped up ahead of kick-off.
There are around 35,000 season ticket holders and therefore filling the capacity of over 80,000 will be determined by how many of them choose to go. With several big players absent for Zidane's side, a strong support could be crucial to the unbeaten record continuing against a very useful Sevilla team looking to cause an upset.
