Luis Suárez and Sergi Roberto will miss Copa del Rey final
Both Barcelona players were sent off for picking up two yellow cards in the match against Atlético Madrid at the Camp Nou. Messi, Alba and Umtiti avoided cards and will be available.
Suárez sent off against Atlético Madrid
Luis Suárez will miss the final of the Copa del Rey after he was sent off right at the death against Atlético Madrid during their Copa del Rey second leg match. Barcelona went through 3-2 on aggregate, having beaten Atleti 1-2 in the Calderón, with this match finishing 1-1.
Sergi Roberto will also miss the final as he too was sent off.
Suárez booked twice in three minutes
The Uruguayan picked up his first booking for a foul on Juanfran on the 87th minute, before being sent off three minutes later when he challenged for a high ball with Koke. The Barça striker did go in leading with his elbow, but made little contact with the Atleti player who went down holding his face.
Suárez enraged by dismissal
Referee Gil Manzano had no doubts however and sent Suárez off for his second yellow. The Uruguayan was dismayed by the decision, refusing to leave the pitch until forced to do so by Barça staff. He then angrily hurled a bottle of water near the dug-out.
Barcelona left with 9 men at the end against Atlético Madrid
Suarez's sending off left Barcelona with just 9 men, with Sergi Roberto's earlier dismissal. Atleti were down to 10 men at this point, with Carrasco having been dismissed for going into the book twice.
Barcelona have Messi and Suárez available for the final
The good news for Barcelona is that Messi avoided the yellow card that would have seen him miss the final. Umtiti and Jordi Alba also ensured their availability by avoiding a booking.
Neymar will be back too for the final, having sat out this match suspended.
