Fernando Torres scored a wonder goal to make it three in his last two LaLiga games as Atlético Madrid defeated Celta Vigo 3-2 in LaLiga on Sunday evening.

Hits astonishing leveller at Calderón

Making just his sixth league start of the season, Torres cancelled out Gustavo Cabral's early opener for Celta with an incredible 11th-minute equaliser.

Controlling Yannick Carrasco's pass with his back to goal, he hooked the bouncing ball over his shoulder, past Celta keeper Sergio Álvarez and into the far corner.

Late show sees Atleti take three points

Torres could have added to his tally but missed a penalty after half an hour, sending his spot-kick against the bar after Facundo Roncaglia had fouled Carrasco.

John Guidetti then restored Celta's lead late on, but a cracking Carrasco volley and a close-range Antoine Griezmann finish saw a dramatic Atleti comeback.

Torres enjoys month of February

Having grabbed a brace against Leganés in LaLiga last weekend, Torres' effort further underlined his love affair with the month of February.

In 26 appearances in all competitions this term, the 32-year-old ex-Liverpool, Chelsea and AC Milan forward has found the net on six occasions in total.
