Roma confirm Florenzi has a torn cruciate ligament
The right-back sustained the injury to his left knee during the league meeting with Sassuolo at the end of October.

Roma confirmed this afternoon that Alessandro Florenzi will undergo surgery to repair knee ligament damage suffered back in October. The Italian club affirmed that the player will play no further part in the current season.
"We can confirm that Alessandro Florenzi has torn the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. The player will undergo an operation today", Roma announced on their official Twitter account.
New injury
Florenzi injured his knee in the 3-1 win over Sassuolo on 27 October last year. This morning, the player injured the same knee once again. Doctors estimate he will be be out for around six months.
