Five reasons why Isco will leave Real Madrid

Despite the midfielder enjoying a rich vein of form currently, his lack of playing time is his motivation to look for an opportunity elsewhere. Macedonia-Spain live online

Update:
Los 5 motivos por los que Isco podría no querer renovar y marcharse del Real Madrid.

Isco Alarcón is currently playing well and is content at Real Madrid. However, competition for a starting place in the team is fierce and the Benalmadena born player is not getting the playing time he feels he warrants, recently stating: "I'm relaxed but my main objective is securing playing time as a player's football career is brief. Between now and the end of the season I'll make my mind up regarding the next step as my future is at stake". These are the five reasons that suggest that Isco may leave the Santiago Bernabeu come the end of the season.

1.356 minutes of playing time

Isco has only played in three full games this campaign in the league. He scored twice in the 1-6 win over Real Betis played in the away win (1-4) over Alaves in Vitoria. He also started in last Saturday's LaLiga encounter at the Bernabeu as Madrid brushed away Espanyol and provided the assists for both goals. Despite his recent good form he ranks as player No. 15 in terms of players with most playing time in the squad (just 1.356 minutes of action).

Less assists

Despite bagging a respectable five goals this season already, a dip in playing time has seen Isco slip behind in terms of assists. In the 2015/16 season the Costa del Sol native provided 12 assists and this season has provided six (with two coming on Saturday). An understandable drop-off considering his reduced playing time but still impressive considering his limited time on the pitch. There is no doubt that the 24 year old player is one of the finest passers of the ball in Spain and this is instrumental in making him a sought after player in the European market.

Zidane is aware of an impending departure

The French coach accepted and understands why the player would have hesitation in signing a new deal given his age and desire to secure guaranteed playing time, he claimed: "This situation is understandable. A player wants to play in 20-25 games per season and if he's taken off then he'll be disappointed".

James Rodriguez

The Colombian player has also featured less this season but now has come to accept his role in the squad as substitute. James can also count on the support from the upper echelons of the Real Madrid offices and this would have a key role to play in determining who stays of leaves the club come June 30.

Highly coveted in the Premier League

Isco is known to be on the radar of many leading European clubs with Juventus previously expressing interest in his services. However it's in England where the main focus of interest is being generated with Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham leading the queue of club's lining up to secure the midfielders signature.
