Godín gets green light
Atlético Madrid defender Diego Godín has been given the all-clear to face Barcelona in the Vicente Calderón on Sunday (16:15 CET). The centre half was forced off with an adductor injury during Atlético's Copa del Rey tie against Luis Enrique's men, leaving him sidelined for two weeks.
Good form
Despite the Uruguayan defender missing Los Rojiblancos' league games against Sporting and Celta, as well as their last 16 tie against Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena, Atleti have been in a rich vein of form, winning all three games convincingly in his absence.
Central defence
This week Godín trained normally with the rest of the Atlético squad, following their return from Germany, and is set to start against Barcelona. The only dilemma for Cholo Simeone will be deciding on who will pair up with the Uruguayan out of Giménez and Savic.
