Bauza out, Sampaoli in?
According to Radio La Red, if Edgardo Bauza is relieved of his duties as manager of La Albiceleste, the new Executive Committee of the Argentine Football Association (AFA) will pursue Sampaoli as their number one target. What is more, the AFA would be willing to pay Sampaoli’s release clause at the Andalusian club.
Sevilla remains the focus
They have not forgotten that Sampaoli masterminded Chile’s victory in the most recent Copa de América, and know that his teams always play football that is easy on the eye. Sevilla will try to keep him at the club, but accept that numerous offers for his services will be forthcoming.
At the moment, Sampaoli is solely concerned with achieving his objectives at Sevilla. The most pressing objective is securing third place in La Liga with a view to direct qualification to next season’s Champions League.
