According to Belgian website Het Laatste Nieuws, reported Real Madrid target Eden Hazard is considered untouchable by Conte, who may offer him a new deal.Arsenal-Chelsea live online
Speculation surrounding the future of Eden Hazard has been rife. In England, there have been strong suggestions that Real Madrid, and Zinedine Zidane in particular, want to secure Hazard’s services for next season.
Conte's key man
But in Belgium, the player’s homeland, the website Het Laatste Nieuws has shed light on the situation. It has stated that Chelsea will not allow Hazard to leave. Conte considers Hazard to be an untouchable member of the squad, and he would like to offer the Belgian an improved contract. His current contract runs until 2020 (and Hazard earns €220,000 per week).
Premier League is the focus
For the moment, Hazard and his inner circle appear content with the admiring glances from Madrid. Yet the player remains focused on securing the Premier League title with Chelsea, which they practically have sewn up already. He is not against the idea of remaining in London, especially as Chelsea’s intention is, ostensibly, to invest €200 million this summer with a view to competing for the Champions League upon their return to the competition.
