Filipe Luis: I want Theo to return to create good, healthy competition
The Brazilian left-back was at the presentation of the Fast and the Furious 8 along with Antoine Griezmann and the Atletico Madrid defender spoke about Hernandez' situation.
Filipe Luis spoke about Theo Hernandez at the Fast and the Furious 8 presentation in the capital of Spain on Wednesday night. The left full-back could face competition in the form of Hernandez, who has been interesting the likes of Real Madrid amongst others.
Luis said, "I am delighted that he is coming back to Atletico, so we can have good, healthy competition, and we can grow together. He is a baller, and he has shown that. I want him to return so he can be with us. So we can continue to get better and when I retire within the next 10 years, I will be leave the left full-back position in good hands."
Regarding the derby on Saturday, Filipe Luis says, "they are the reigning winners of the Champions League, the leader in LaLiga and it is a very complicated game. We are not the favourites. We will go to the Bernabeú with humility and well-equipped with the intention of getting a result.
