Álvaro Morata's future reportedly lies away from the Bernabéu

The future of Álvaro Morata looks as though it may lie far from the Santiago Bernabeu next season. The striker, already frustrated at the reduced number of opportunities that manager Zinedine Zidane has given him, is mulling over offers from England (Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham), Italy (Juventus, Milan), Germany (Borussia Dortmund) and even China, AS has learned from sources close to the player. The Premier League, with Chelsea currently at the top of the pile, is the most likely destination.

Conte part of Morata past and future

The presence of Antonio Conte on the bench at Stamford Bridge is very appealling to Morata. "I'm sure I'll work with him sooner or later," the Spaniard recently stated in an interview with The Guardian. The Italian coach, a determining factor in the signing of the Spaniard for Juventus in 2014, is reportedly keen to add him to his Blues' team currently sitting top of the Premier League and clear favourites to lift the crown. Chelsea have the finanicial means and would be willing to pay 65 million euros to prise him away from Los Blancos while offering the player an improvement to his six million euro salary in Madrid.

Debut-giver Mourinho could help Manchester move

According to the Spanish programme, El Larguero, this offer is similar to that put forward in the last summer transfer window by Manchester United, as Mourinho targeted his rebuild of the Red Devils which saw him bring in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eric Bailley, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Morata's Juve teammate, Paul Pogba on a world-record transfer. The ex-Madrid manager is seen as the next best placed in the race to sign the striker. It was the Portuguese manager who gave Morata his Primera debut.

BBC restricts Morata's Madrid dream

Morata, whose desire has always been to be a success at Real Madrid, is disappointed with the situation he has been facing this season. Zidane promised him a leading role in the side upon his return from Juventus but, despite his impressive performances and goals-per-minute figures, this has not materialised and he is still acting deputy to an inconsistent frontline of Benzema, Bale and Cristiano when there is a fully fit squad to choose from. Whether Morata can prove his worth in the final games of the season and get a belief that he has a big part to play in the future of the European Champions will go a long way to deciding whether he accepts one of the recent offers from his many suitors.
