The veteran defender is out of contract this summer and has an eye on the World Cup in Russia, favouring a move in Europe ahead of ChinaPSG vs Troyes live online
Real Madrid central defender Pepe appears increasingly likely to leave the Bernabéu this summer when his contract expires and according to Spanish radio show El Larguero, PSG could be his destination.
Russia World Cup
The 34-year-old Portugal defender has been the subject of offers from China but with the World Cup in 2018 on the horizon, Pepe would prefer to move to a European club to remain in the eye of Portugal coach Fernando Santos to stay in contention for a place in the squad for Russia, which will surely be his final major international tournament.
Galatasaray are said to have tabled an offer and Manchester City have been credited with an interest in Pepe, who has found his playing time considerably reduced this season due to injuries and the form of Raphael Varane.
PSG offer for Pepe in 2012
PSG tried to sign Pepe in the summer of 2012, when Carlo Ancelotti was in charge at the Parc des Princes. The Ligue 1 giants are believed to have offered 25 million euros for the defender, but Real were not willing to entertain offers of under 30 million.
