According to Catalan daily Mundo Deportivo Neymar has fired a warning shot across the club’s bow about Luis Enrique’s successor.
Neymar and Unzué altercation
The Asturian’s number two, Juan Carlos Unzué, is one of the front-runners to succeed the current boss but the Brazilian superstar and the assistant coach had a training ground bust-up during which Unzué questioned Neymar’s attitude. Mundo Deportivo reports that Neymar has now issued a him or me ultimatum, stating: “If Unzué stays then I’ll leave.”
Barça interested in Mendy and Rodríguez
The daily also reported that Barcelona have identified two new targets for the left back position after missing out on Theo Hernández, the Atlético defender who has been impressing on loan at Alavés and has apparently agreed a deal to join Real Madrid: Monaco’s Benjamin Mendy and Wolfsburg’s Ricardo Rodríguez, who is perennially linked with a move away from the Bundesliga club.
