Global media pay tribute to Cristiano as LaLiga title looms

The world's sporting press acknowledge that Real Madrid have one hand on the 2016/17 LaLiga trophy after last night's 1-4 win over Celta Vigo.

The world's media were quick to praise Cristiano Ronaldo for his performance in Balaidos as Real Madrid secured the vital away win that sees Zidane's side requiring just one point from their last fixture (away to Malaga on Sunday) to claim their first LaLiga trophy in five years.

The Portuguese striker was on target twice in Balaidos and his brace saw him overcome the previous record of top European goalscorer held by Englishman Jimmy Greaves with 366 goals. Cristiano has now bagged 368 club goals since 2003.
