The Argentinian defender will hang up his boots after this evening's game against Real Madrid as he comes in for Diego Llorente, on loan from Los Blancos.

The Málaga defender, Martín Demichelis, spoke ahead of his side's game against Real Madrid, his last before he hangs up his boots.

Your last game, and against Real Madrid no less

I'll have mixed emotions. My last experience in the world of football - in the best league in the world and against such a big team going for the title. It's also the last day at La Rosaleda, which will be packed. My aim is to play the game normally, and just think about being happy on the pitch. My last game is a dream finish.

In the absence of Diego Llorente, you're set to start. What are your thoughts?

I don't want to oblige anyone, especially not the manager, just because it's my last game. I want it to be a technical and tactical decision, for the good of the team. If I'm played from the start, then I'm really going to enjoy myself, and I'll try to have the game of my life because it will be my last. And if not I'll enjoy it with immense pride.

What will you do next?

I'll stay here. In the future I want to go into management. At the moment I'm studying for my coaching badges.

Which trainers have had the biggest impact on your career?

If we're talking about the most important then I'd have to say Manuel Pellegrini, because I worked with him at River, Málaga and Manchester City.

Recio didn't hide the fact that he doesn't want Madrid to celebrate the league at La Rosaleda. So you agree?

I'll put it another way: I'd like to end my career by winning my last game.
