The clock continues to tick down to Cardiff on June 3 with Juventus aiming for their third European Cup haul whilst Real Madrid hope to find room in their bulging trophy cabinet for a 12th European Cup, Here's a brief look at the latest news affecting the men from the Bernabeu.

Sergio Ramos and Pique

The Real Madrid captain spoke to El Larguero on Cadena SER radio and confessed he was taking twenty people to the Cardiff final. He also claimed to have sent a final ticket to Barcelona defender Gerard Pique but was yet to receive a reply from the Catalan player.

Last training session

Enzo Zidane was drafted into the last training session before the final at Valdebebas today. The team focused principally on ball-work with pressing a key feature of the training drill.  Pepe and Coentrão were the notable absentees from the session with both Portuguese players training indoors.

Cardiff travel plans

The Real Madrid expedition will set off for the Welsh capital on a private charter tomorrow morning with an 11:00 departure. The squad are staying at the centrally based Mecure hotel located just 2km from the stadium where the UEFA Champions League final match will be staged. The travelling group are set for a swift return to the Spanish capital immediately after Saturday's game.

United reject De Gea bid

According to UK based outlet Sky Sports, Manchester United have rejected a 69 million euro approach from Real Madrid for David de Gea. The Toledo born stopper has been high on the Spanish club's "wanted list" after the infamous failed bid to secure the goalkeeper's services in 2015.

"Gere-ing" up for the final

American actor Richard Gere paid a visit to the Santiago Bernabeu yesterday as part of his promotional activity for his new film "Norman, The Moderate Rise and Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer".  The actor posed with the 11 European Cup trophies and was presented with a replica shirt.
