Vitolo: "Atlético aren't the only interested club, there are more"

"The day I leave Sevilla I'll be really sad to go," the Spain international winger told an interview published in La Provincia on Friday.

Sevilla's Vitolo has told an interview in the newspaper La Provincia that Atlético Madrid are just one of a number of clubs to have shown an interest in signing him.

Vitolo has been heavily linked with a close-season move to Los Rojiblancos, but the Court of Arbitration for Sport's rejection of the club's transfer-ban appeal means they cannot register any new players this summer.

However, it's thought Atleti could press ahead with their planned signings and loan them out until January, at which point they can be officially added to the squad.

Vitolo on Atlético: "I don't know what'll happen"

"I don't know what'll happen [with Atlético]; Atleti aren't the only interested club, there are more teams," the 27-year-old said. "I haven't decided anything yet.

"What's more, I'm under contract at Sevilla and I owe them the greatest of respect.

"The day I leave Sevilla I'll be really sad to go," the Spain cap continued. "[It's been] a wonderful experience that will stay with me forever."

Vitolo: "There's nothing with Manchester City"

Asked about the possibility of joining Manchester City, he said: "City are a great club that have grown in recent years, but at the moment there's nothing with them."

On links with Barcelona, meanwhile, he explained: "Of course it's flattering to be tracked by a club like Barça, but those teams track a lot of players."
