Sevilla FC confirm fingerprint scan stadium access for 'Biris'
The Andalusian club confirmed that scanners will be installed only for access to the lower tier of the north stand at the Sánchez Pizjuán stadium.
Sevilla FC launched their 2017/18 season ticket campaign this morning in the cinema complex adjacent to the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán. Club president Castro reminded those present that the squad will return for pre-season training next Monday and the ambition for the LaLiga side is to improve on last season's fourth place league finish.
39.000 season ticket holders objective
The 17/18 season ticket will entitle the holder to attend all 19 LaLiga games, the Champions League play-off match, early stages of the Copa del Rey, the friendly Trofeo Antonio Puerta game along with access to all Sevilla Atletico games in the second tier as well as the women's team and all youth category games at the club's training ground. The club have set an objective of securing 39.000 season ticket holders for the new campaign.
The club also confirmed to AS that the lower tier of the north stand will have fingerprint scanning systems installed. this is the area of the Sanchez Pizjuan where the "Biris" ultras group are based and will be the only area of the ground where such a system is implemented. The club did allude to a similar identification process being used at a later point in the rest of the stadium.
