Sandro Ramírez: Everton confirm signing of striker from Málaga
Premier League club Everton have completed the transfer of Sandro Ramírez after paying the Spain Under-21 player's release clause.
Everton have confirmed the signing of Málaga striker Sandro Ramírez, with the Spain Under-21 ace penning a four-year deal at the Premier League club.
Sandro signs on until 2021 after release clause met
The Barcelona youth product follows goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, midfielder Davy Klassen and forward Henry Onyekuru (who is to spend 2017/18 on loan at Belgians Anderlecht) in signing for the Merseyside club this summer.
Sandro arrives at Everton fresh from scoring 14 LaLiga goals for Málaga last term, as well as playing his part in Spain's run to the final of June's European Under-21 Championship in Poland, where he netted in the group-stage win over Portugal.
Excellent season at Málaga sparked chase for signature
His fine campaign at Málaga, who he joined from Barça in 2016, saw him become a target for several clubs, with Atlético Madrid initially leading the chase.
However, Los Rojiblancos saw their pursuit of the 21-year-old complicated by the Court of Arbitration for Sport's decision to uphold their FIFA transfer ban.
Sandro: "Everton is the ideal place for me"
"I'm very happy, this is a big step in my career," Sandro told EvertonTV.
"I know I’m signing for a massive club in England," he added. "Everton is the ideal place for me, I've got the ideal manager who is going to keep giving me the confidence to improve my game."
