Pique, Theo and Messi defy clubs with jet-ski and quad summer activity
All LaLiga clubes strongly advise their footballer's to avoid using the likes of quads, speedboats and jet-skis during the holidays.
There will be plenty of questions to be answered by many LaLiga stars as club's begin their 2017/18 pre-season activity with one of the guidelines issued to players before the summer break is the avoidance of using extreme sports vehicles such as quad bikes, jet-skis and dune buggies. Even the domestic bicycle can be deemed as out of bound for many clubs as Swansea's Fernando Llorente returns to the club with broken arm after falling off a push-bike.
Jet-skis
Karim Benzema, Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Theo Hernández all respectively published photos of themselves on jet-skis this summer which will wrangle with the medical staff at the Santiago Bernabeu and Camp Nou. Experts say that using such a vehicle with little experience can cause back damage and over 25% of aquatic accidents are directly linked with this type of embarkation.
Quads and buggies
Diego Costa recently crashed whilst driving a quad and just yesterday Gerard Pique came a cropper as the dune buggy he was driving in Qatar overturned but fortunately the Barcelona player was unscathed much to the relief of the preparation and backroom staff at the Catalan club as the Barça squad report back for pre-season training on July 12.
