Real Madrid's captain Sergio Ramos is now fully incorporated back into the squad in Los Angeles. Ramos started the pre-season training apart from the group at UCLA's sports complex on Sunday. Madrid's fitness trainer Antonio Pintus designed a special, physical workout for the skipper, which was capped by several laps of the pitch perimeter despite the torrid, Californian heat. Yesterday, the skipper was back working with the squad and appeared keen to catch up with the rest of the players who have had a four-day headstart, although he retired from the session half an hour earlier. Ramos has has enjoyed an extra six days of holidays as he was on international duty with Spain for the Macedonia game on 12 June, along with Isco and Carvajal (Morata and Nacho were with the squad but didn't play); Madrid made special concessions for their captain for the number of games he played last season - 51 in total for club and country.

Ramos eyeing Sanchís and Gento's honours tallies

Ramos will begin his 13th season as a madridista with objective of adding to the honours he has collected over the years. With the four winners' medals he picked up last season, his total at club level stands at 15 - and that's not including the two European championships and World Cup winners' medals he won with Spain. This season, Madrid will be aiming to win all of the six competitions they are involved in and should they manage to do so, Ramos will pull level with Manolo Sanchís who won 21 trophies with Los Blancos and is second in the all-time ranking. Topping the honours list is Paco Gento - Madrid's most decorated player. The Honrary President lifted 23 trophies during his time as a player, including six European Cups and 12 Leagues - records which still stand today in both competitions.
