Atletico Madrid could loan Diego Costa to AC Milan - La Repubblica
Reports coming out of Italy today suggest that the 'Rossoneri' could take the striker until January, in a similar operation to the one with Vitolo and Las PalmasNigeria B - Atlético Madrid: friendly
Atlético's operation to bring Diego Costa back to the club once their transfer ban is lifted in January continues to gather momentum. The sale of Álvaro Morata to Chelsea effectively opens the door for the Spain international, who is out of favour with Blues manager Antonio Conte.
Atlético weighing up whether to loan Costa or not
While the terms and conditions of the operation are still being negotiated, it is still unknown whether Costa plans to train under Simeone's orders without competing in official competition or whether he would be open to spend four months on loan at another club like Vitolo has done with Atlético 'loaning' him to Las Palmas until January. In Italy, La Repubblica’ claim that AC Milan could take Diego Costa on loan until the winter transfer window opens. The Rossoneri have been busy rebuilding the squad this summer but they are still looking for a striker to partner Adrian Silva, who joined on a 38 million euro deal from Porto. Costa meanwhile, wants to keep his hand in with 2018 World Cup Russia less than a year away. Milan could be an ideal solution for both parties as Costa would keep match-fit and would not be Cup-tied as the Italians are not involved in this year's Champions League.
