Málaga to beat Fiorentina and Inter Milan for Emanuel Cecchini signature

The Argentine midfielder is due to fly out to Málaga where he will undergo a medical revision before signing a five-year deal. The club is also pushing to sign Javi García.

Málaga have reacted almost immediately to Pablo Fornals' move to Villarreal and are on the point of signing a replacement - CA Banfield's Emanuelle Cecchini. Málaga have agreed a four million euro fee for the 20-year-old who will join on a five-year contract. The midfielder is due to fly to Spain within the next 24 hours for a medical revision. Cecchini is considered to be one of the most promising young talents to have emerged from the Argentine game and has attracted interest from Inter Milan and  Fiorentina.

Málaga keen to bring in Javi García, a centre-back and a striker

Málaga are also pushing to bring former Real Madrid and Manchester City midfielder Javi García to La Rosaleda. Míchel, who coached García during their time together at Real Madrid Castilla, is aware that the 30-year-old has been struggling to get regular minutes at Zenit and Málaga are confident of reaching an agreement with the Russian outfit. The club are also hopeful of bring in a centre-back and another striker. Málaga's Director of Football Francesc Arnau is currently in Milan, sounding out the market.
