The offensive to bring Lucas Perez back to Deportivo continues apace and Rodrigo Fernandez, the player's agent, travelled to London on Thursday to personally negotiate the players departure from Arsenal. A meeting has not yet been scheduled with the Gunners' decision makers but by Fernandez being in the capital of England, he is hoping to accelerate the move for his player.
It is not the first time Fernandez has been tasked with unlocking Perez' future when two summers ago he was sent to Greece to arrange the player's exit from PAOK. Just like that time, Depor have called ahead and made an offer for the player with fernandez sent in to finish off the deal. The offer from the west coast of Spain is close to €10 million and they await a response in Galicia.
There is still more than a month to go before the window closes, and while Arsenal appreciate that the offer is good, they might hold their cards close to their chest for now to see if a better offer doesn't arrive.
