How much prize money does the winner get at the Valero Texas Open?
Players will face milder conditions on Sunday in the final round of the Valero Texas Open played at TPC San Antonio. Let’s take a look at the prize money.

Everyone is trying to catch Brian Harman on Sunday, who sits atop the leaderboard with a three-shot lead over Andrew Novak. The last tournament on the PGA Tour before the Masters at Augusta National will be played with less wind on Sunday. Saturday was rough with high winds and high scores as only eight players managed to break par on day three of the Valero Texas Open.

This year, the tournament is offering a prize money payout of $9.5 millioin, an increase of $300,000 from last year’s event. Players will compete for a chance to win the grand prize of $1.71 million and 500 FedEx Cup points.
Although Brian Harman couldn’t break par on Saturday, his 72 was enough to keep his lead and go into Sunday with a three-shot lead.
Andrew Novak’s 3-under par on Saturday pushed him up to second place with a score of 9-under par after three days. Sunday looks like it will be a three or four man race between the last group with Tom Hoge four shots back at 8-under par for the tournament. Veteran Keith Mitchell needs to go low on Sunday to catch Harman, who is five shots ahead of him.
