Top LIV golfers to watch closely at the 2025 Masters
The player to follow closely at the 2025 Masters at Augusta National is the last one on the list above. Joaquín Niemann is having a solid year so far on the LIV Tour. He has two wins in the first four tournaments in Adelaide and Singapore and is playing some great golf. He seems to be off to a slow start this weekend in Miami, but expect big things from Niemann at the Masters.
Sergio García is another player to watch despite his lack of enthusiasm for Augusta National, el niño seems to be enjoying the game again and is currently in third place on the LIV Tour behind Niemann and Jon Rahm. In a recent virtual press conference García talked about the work he has put in regarding the mental part of the game: “It’s helped me see things differently these past two and a half, three years. And I’m loving what I do. I can’t wait to keep doing it,” he told AS English.
Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau are two big hitters who have proven they know how to win majors and will be looking forward to competing against the best golfers in the world in the first major of the season. Despite being currently ranked 8 and 16 respectively on the LIV Tour, you can never count these two out.
And of course there are two former winners, who, despite getting off to a slow start in 2025, are looking sharp in Miami this weekend and could be at the top of the leaderboard on Sunday at Augusta National. We’re talking about Patrick Reed and Dustin Johnson, who have been under the radar since leaving the PGA Tour, but are in first and second place after the first day of play in Miami and two golfers who we will be following closely as the week of the Masters gets underway.

Jon Rahm is another golfer who could be in contention over the weekend at the Masters, but who has yet to win on the LIV Tour in 2025. He got off to a slow start in Miami on Friday and will be looking to find some confidence in his game before heading to Augusta National.
