Jesús Vallejo out with muscle injury, Real Madrid confirm
Real central defender Vallejo is set for a short period out of action after suffering a strain in training at Valdebebas on Thursday.
Real Madrid centre-back Jesús Vallejo is set for up to a week on the sidelines after Los Blancos confirmed that he has suffered a muscle injury in training.
"Following tests carried out on Jesús Vallejo at the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital, he has been diagnosed with a muscle strain in his left thigh," Real said in a statement published on their official website on Thursday.
"His recovery will continue to be assessed."
Vallejo likely to be out for four to seven days
AS understands that Vallejo, 20, picked up the problem in Thursday's training session at Real's Valdebebas base, and is to be out of action for about four to seven days.
The Spain Under-21 international is yet to make his competitive debut since being officially unveiled as a member of Real's first-team squad this summer.
Signed from Real Zaragoza in July 2015, Vallejo was immediately sent back on loan to La Romareda, before spending 2016/17 at Germans Eintracht Frankfurt.
