Benfica publish list of the most corrupt clubs in Europe
The Portuguese club face legal action against Porto while the whereabouts of where the list of corrupt clubs emerged remains to be seen.
Benfica have found themselves in a mess that will surely see them wind up in court. They decided to publish a list of the most corrupt clubs in Europe on the television show called "Pointed Spears".
The list starts with Olympique Marseille with Juventus directly after them and their biggest rivals, Porto, coming in third. The club of the dragon have already informed their Portuguese opponents that they plan on taking them to court over the list to ensure the truth emerges.
"Before this accusation, Porto have communicated to the clubs involved that the list is false. On the other hand, we will make a decision to fix the good name of the club and for the damage caused," said an official statement.
The presentater on Benfica's channel said the list was made by the Daily Mail but they said this list was never published. The club state that the e-mail containing the Daily Mail's list was not of good enough quality to be broadcast.
