Zinedine Zidane has been forced to dip into his Castilla stock to make up the match day squad for Sunday’s trip to Anoeta to play Real Sociedad and has handed a call-up to Argentinean winger Franchu, one of the stars of Guti’s under-19 side last season.

The 19-year-old is comfortable on either flank and was included on the club’s pre-season tour of the USA. However, he is unlikely to feature as he played for Castilla in a 2-0 victory over Talavera on Saturday and then joined up with the first team squad.

Morocco international Achraf Hakimi also makes the list alongside reserve left back Theo Hernández.

Marco Asensio returns after missing out on the Apoel game in midweek and will likely start up front alongside Gareth Bale. Zidane is missing seven members of his first team squad: Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelo are both suspended while Toni Kroos, Jesús Vallejo, Mateo Kovacic and Karim Benzema are injured.
