The majority of managers that will be leading their sides in the Champions League this week from the dugouts have long since hung up their boots. But Uefa decided that there was a rather decent team that could be put together with them if they were in their prime as a player.

Using a 3-5-1-1 formation, the choice of current Uefa Champions League managers for a 'Best XI' is made up to include Valverde (Barcelona), Zidane (Real Madrid) and Simeone (Atlético Madrid) from LaLiga as well as Guardiola (Manchester City) and Conte (Chelsea) from the Premier League. Across the other leagues are Conceicao (Porto), Carrera (Spartak Moscow), Pochettino (Tottenham), Milanic (Maribor) and Van Bronckhorst (Feyenoord) while Günes (Besiktas) was put in goal.
