Real Sociedad's Adnan Januzaj out indefinitely with knee injury
The Belgian winger has built up an excess of Synovial fluid in his right knee and will miss tomorrow's midday game against Betis.
Real Sociedad winger Adnan Januzaj has suffered a traumatic injury to his right knee, causing an excess of Synovial fluid in the joint. Club medical staff have yet to set a date when the Belgian will be able to resume duties with Eusebio's team - for the time being, Januzaj will start a course of physiotherapy and has been ordered to rest.
Januzaj facing weeks on the sidelines
The player complained of discomfort to his right knee in the hours leading up to Thursday's Europa League meeting with Zenit. He underwent an MRI scan yesterday which deteceted a "moderate effusion" to the knee joint, La Real's medical department confirmed. The Basque club add that Januzaj's return will depend on how his knee respeonds to treatment.
