Barcelona were back on the training ground on Sunday after their 2-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao on Saturday night at San Mames. Lionel Messi trained with no problem at the Ciutat Esportiva and will travel to Athens with his teammates as they look to close in on a last 16 spot in the Champions League with a win over Olympiacos.

The Argentine, who reportedly had some physical discomfort after the game in Bilbao, did all of the recovery exercises with no issues. Ernesto Valverde said after the game that he had, "no news of possible injury niggles," and that seemed to be the case for his star player.

Iniesta, however, has still not recovered from the left thigh injury that kept him out of the game at the San Mames. The Spanish midfielder will rest against Olympiacos and is a doubt for the game against Sevilla next Saturday in LaLiga too.

Gerard Piqué is suspended having been sent off against Olympiacos at the Camp Nou and Javier Mascherano has recovered from the flu despite not getting the all clear from the club's medical department. Thomas Vermaelen is eager to play and Valverde will have to make a decision on who will partner Samuel Umtiti during the week.
