McManaman: "Mourinho's Man United bore me to tears"
The former Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester City player criticized Manchester United's defensive tack: "I want to be entertained".
Former Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester City player Steve McManaman was highly critical of the ultra defensive tactics which José Mourinho is employing at Manchester United - even if they are delivering results.
Mou's United, akin to watching paint dry, says McManaman
"I want to be entertained", Macca demanded. "I have an issue with him managing Manchester United. If he was managing Liverpool and playing the way he’s doing, I wouldn’t be happy. I want to be entertained, and I’m not entertained. You can’t just go back and say, ‘Oh yeah, we got three points today’. I don’t want to be going to games and going away thinking ‘that was rubbish but we won 1-0’. I certainly wouldn’t – if Man United fans are happy, fine, I’ve got no problem, but I would rather be sitting watching Pep Guardiola’s team destroy teams, than that”.
