Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Real Madrid in June - reports
Levante - Real Madrid live: LaLiga Santander 2019
Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Real Madrid at the end of this season and the club already knows the intention of the Portuguese attacker. This is according to Edu Aguirre on the Spanish sports programme, ’El Chiringuito'.
Summer 2018 departure for Cristiano?
Aguirre claims that the number seven wants to end his contract on June 30, 2018 and has already made this clear to club president, Florentino Pérez, who had no plans to let him leave at the end of the season, long before the end of his contract.
According to the same source, Cristiano received a offer from the reigning Spanish and European champions to renew his current contract but was not impressed by it. He felt that he was not sufficiently valued by the club. He also saw the attempted signing of Kylian Mbappé, as well as other top-rated players, as a sign of disrespect to him.
"I don't want to renew" - Ronaldo
Just a few days ago, following the Champions League group match against Tottenham, he said: "I have four years on my contract. I don’t want to renew. I’m good."
It should also be remembered that in the summer transfer window ahead of this campaign, there were strong suggestions from various sources close to the player that he would be leaving Spain before a ball was kicked in the 2017/18 season. Clearly this did not come to pass.
