Stoke City will serve Jesé Rodríguez a fine for breaking club etiquette during last weekend's league action. The Spanish forward started Saturday's home game against Swansea on the bench but decided he'd had enough when he saw manager Mark Hughes use up the last of his three substitutions, bringing on Ibrahim Affelay for Darren Fletcher and replacing Eric Choupo-Moting with Ramadan Sobhi with 20 minutes left to play. Realizing he wasn't going to play a part in the game, Jesé up and left the stadium and went home.

Jesé reprimaded for making a quick exit

Hughes spoke about the matter: "He made a mistake, he's been disciplined for that. He understands it wasn't the right decision at that time. It's been addressed. It's been highlighted what he needs to do in future. If they don't get on they get frustrated but deep down he knew it was the wrong thing to do and he held his hand up".

The Potters boss added that Jesé didn't formally apologize but did admit that he was in the wrong: "His English isn't great but I know he's sorry. He's just got to be patient".

Jesé got his Premier League debut off to a dream start with a goal against Arsenal in August but hasn't found the net in of the following eight games he's played in. He has yet to play a complete game as seeing as Stoke do not have the first option to buy him when his loan deal ends, it looks like he will return to PSG in the summer.
