Ramos: "Cristiano is unlike any striker we've ever seen before"
Sergio Ramos spoke to Téléfoot where he praised the Portuguese striker and also backed Zidane for continuing to support Benzema.
Today's Téléfoot programme on the French TF1 network broadcasted an interview with Sergio Ramos, a pre-record with the Real Madrid captain recorded before the trip to Abu Dhabi. During the discourse of the interview Ramos looks at the latest news surrounding Real Madrid and has time to praise both Zidane and Karim Benzema.
Madrid looking to win a third successive Champions League: “Winning forms part of the clubs DNA and of course we'd all like to win another Champions League title but this year there are plenty of strong opponents....Barça, PSG, Bayern… PSG have built a squad that is designed to compete for the title and our games will be very interesting".
Mbappé: “He's a great player and has a fantastic future ahead of him. He can be a game-changer".
Cristiano Ronaldo: “Our number 7 is the type of striker that we've never seen before and is already a legend. I'm sure he'll be remembered as one of the best player ever in the history of the game. Cristiano is a key player in the team and is massively respected by the rest of the squad".
Benzema: "Karim is a fine striker but a natural talent and is both a great goal-scorer and provider of assists. The French national side? Playing for ones country is the best there is and I've no doubt that Karim would be delighted to represent "Les Bleus" at the Russia 2018 World Cup".
Praise for Zidane: “He's the best, there's no doubt about that. He's proven his worth and we're delighted he's our coach. It's not always that case that good players go on to be good coaches and he is certainly an exception”.
